	Giovedi 17 Gennaio 1924 alle ore .9. PM venne aperta la seduta regolare ordinaria presieduta dal nostro presidente Stefano Maffei. All’appello nominale degli ufficiali risultavano tutti presenti. Dopo letto e approvato il processo verbale, il presidente Stefano Maffei chiama i nuovi ufficiali da prendere i loro posti. All’ap- pello nominale risultava assente il primo curatore Carlo Marconi. Colle nostre vigenti leggi il fratello Carlo Marconi avrebbe perduto ogni diritto, ma l’assemblea ad’unanimita’ decise di lasciare in carica il fratello Carlo Marconi, essendo per affari dovuto trattenersi fuori citta’. E con questo il vecchio presidente Stefano Maffei ringrazia tutta l’assemblea e lascia il seggio al nuovo presidente Casimiro Pellegrini, che continui la seduta. Venne accettata l’applicazione del nuovo membro Diodati Ruggero di anni 29 nativo di S. Anna provincia di Lucca. Fu proposto da Lorenzo Lunardini e assecondato da Castruccio Cappellini di rimandare il secondo ballo a dopo la Pasqua. Fu approvato il sussidio di $20.00 al fratello Dati Adelmo per malattia. Fu approvato di non fare pagare la ticchetta obbglig- atoria ai membri che nell’ultimo ballo si fecero distinguere vendendo 5 ticchette ciascuno, e che sono i seguenti. Candido Pacini. Sam Marsili. The roll call of the officers returned everybody present. After the previous meeting’s minutes were read and approved, President Stefano Maffei called the new officers to take their places. The roll call of the [new] officers returned the absence of First Curator Carlo Marconi. According to our current regulations, brother Carlo Marconi should lose any right [to his position], but the assembly decided unanimously to keep Brother Carlo Marconi in his position, given that he had to attend to affairs outside the city. And with that, the old president Stefano Maffei thanked the entire assembly and left his seat to the new president Casimiro Pellegrini, who continued the meeting. The application of new member Diodati Ruggero, 29, native of S. Anna in the Province of Lucca, was accepted. It was proposed by Lorenzo Lunardini and seconded by Castruccio Cappellini to reschedule the second ball for after Easter. A medical subsidy of $20.00 was granted to Brother Adelmo Dati. It was approved to allow those who distinguished themselves by selling 5 tickets apiece to be exempt from having to pay for their obligatory ticket, and they are the following: Candito Pacini, Sam Marsili, Lorenzo Lunardini, Emilio Pasquinelli, and Giuseppe Checci. The roll call of the officers returned the absences of the following: President Casimiro Pellegrini, Vice President Jacopo Sodini, and Sanitary Officer Lorenzo Vigano’. It was proposed by Muzio Frediani and seconded by Adelmo Dati to provide a small banquet for the Ball Committee at Pasquinelli’s place. However all members are able to attend if they pay in full the sum they will be charged. It was proposed by Modesto Zini and seconded by Adelmo Dati to grant $2.50 to the members of the Ball Committee, the same amount granted to the previous [ball] committee. A medical subsidy of $19.00 was granted to Brother Virgilio Danesi. The payment of $51.40 was granted to Brother Muzio Frediani for printing. Since the president [of the committee] charged with investigating the illness of Santino Gambodi was absent, the assembly reschedules [the report] for next meeting. $38.25 deposited. The roll call returned the absences of the following officers: First Curator Carlo Marconi and Sanitary Officer Lorenzo Vigano’. The previous meeting’s minutes were approved as read. Having no new member applications, and since the new member Ruggero Diodati did not present himself for admission for the second time in two months, we passed to the reading of the correspondence, of which there was nothing. [Moving on] to unfinished affairs, the discussion regarding Brother Santino Giambogi is reopened, and after a lively debate he is granted his medical subsidy of $32.00, withholding however a week of aid, leaving him $25.00, in accordance with Title 50 Articles 35 and 41 of our regulations. Proposed by Michele Simonetti and seconded by Modesto Zini to accept the price of $4.00 for the following menu of the banquet: appetizer, boiled beef and chicken in broth, spaghetti, roast chicken, salad, fruit, cheese, a 1/4 [bottle of] wine, punch, and a cigar. The League would cover the amount of $2.50 for those members who played a part and worked at the last ball. Proposed by Modesto Zini and seconded by Giuseppe Fredianelli to not host a second ball. It was proposed by Modesto Zini and seconded by Giuseppe Gianni to make a few committees tasked with bring in new members, which, by increasing the [amount of] fresh energy, would increase the spirit of the society itself. It was proposed by Stefano Maffei and seconded by Carlo Marconi to leave the Picnic Committee chosen as is and to give it full discretion with regards to the organization of the party. Our president having had the kind thought of inviting the entire society to his wedding, the assembly unanimously decided to get him a gift, for which the following members were tasked: Castruccio Cappellini and Carlo Marconi, who were to buy the best gift they could imagine, but which did not cost more than $50.00. Fu proposto da Eugenio Bertoni e assecondato da Modesto Zini di inviare una lettera al fratello Lorenzo Vigano’ che si presentasse alla prossima seduta per per rispondere alle accuse mosseli. Aladino Frediani was accepted as a new member of our brotherhood. Having not been able to find the raffle ticket booklets that the loggia Santo Amato had sent over, the assembly followed the proposal of Eugenio Bertoni to send them back. It was proposed by Eugenio Bertoni and seconded by Modesto Zini to send a letter to Brother Lorenzo Vigano’ [requesting] that he present himself at the next meeting in order to respond to the accusations made against him. Following the Bertoni and Danesi proposal the selection of a committee thus composed was approved: Modesto Zini, Eugenio Bertoni, Muzio Frediani, Enemia De Santi, Olindo Cinelli, and Michele Simonetti. The aforementioned should get together and discuss the best manner in which to improve the welfare of the League, in both a moral and material sense. Following the Frediani and Cinelli proposal, the assembly decided to print 100 raffle ticket booklets with 5 tickets apiece, each worth 50￠, and to give one to each member, who will make an effort to sell them or will return them

Following the proposal [of] Muzio Frediani and Lorenzo Vigano’, it was approved to create a committee to investigate the bills from the last picnic. The committee’s constituents are the following: Americo Lucchesi, Lorenzo Vigano’, and Giuseppe Fredianelli. Since Brother Eugenio Micheli had not fulfilled his duties as outlined in Title IV Article 21 of our regulations, the assembly decided to pay him for July 26 through August 5, totalling 11 days. Since the Ball Committee neglected to fulfill its duties, the society is liable to lose the $25.00 already paid for renting the Moose Temple on December 2nd. (U.S.). The roll call of the officers returned
everybody present. After the previous meeting’s minutes were
read and approved, President Stefano Maffei called the
new officers to take their places. The roll
call of the [new] officers returned the absence of First
Curator Carlo Marconi. According to our current regulations,
brother Carlo Marconi should lose
any right [to his position], but the assembly
decided unanimously to keep Brother Carlo Marconi
in his position, given that he had to attend to
affairs outside the city. And with that, the old president
Stefano Maffei thanked the entire assembly and
left his seat to the new president Casimiro
Pellegrini, who continued the meeting.
The application of new member Diodati Ruggero, 29,
native of S. Anna in the
Province of Lucca, was accepted.
It was proposed by Lorenzo Lunardini and seconded

A medical subsidy of $20.00 was granted

himself for admission for the second time
in two months, we passed to the reading of the
correspondence, of which there was nothing. [Moving on] to
unfinished affairs, the discussion regarding
Brother Santino Giambogi is reopened, and after a lively
debate he is granted his medical subsidy of
$32.00, withholding however a week of aid,
leaving him $25.00, in accordance with
Title 50 Articles 35 and 41 of our regulations.
Proposed by Michele Simonetti and seconded by
Modesto Zini to accept the price of $4.00
for the following menu of the banquet: appetizer,
boiled beef and chicken in broth, spaghetti, roast
chicken, salad, fruit, cheese, a 1/4 [bottle of]
wine, punch, and a cigar. The League
would cover the amount of $2.50 for those members
who played a part and worked at the last ball.

competitors, Brother Ermete Vannucci was
accepted. Having neither applications nor

[to attend to], we passed to unfinished affairs, and
so the Picnic Committee was nominated,

proposal of Eugenio Bertoni to
send them back. It was proposed by Eugenio
Bertoni and seconded by Modesto Zini to
send a letter to Brother Lorenzo Vigano’ [requesting] that he present himself at the next meeting
in order to respond to the accusations made against him.
Following the Bertoni and Danesi proposal the selection
of a committee thus composed was approved:
Modesto Zini, Eugenio Bertoni, Muzio Frediani,
Enemia De Santi, Olindo Cinelli, and Michele
Simonetti. The aforementioned should get together
and discuss the best manner in which to improve
the welfare of the League, in both a moral and

Fredianelli. Since Brother Eugenio Micheli had not
fulfilled his duties as outlined in
Title IV Article 21 of our regulations,
the assembly decided to pay him for July 26
through August 5, totalling 11 days. The minutes
indicated hosting 2 picnics this year, and after a long
and lively discussion the president nominated
the following committee to organize it
for the second Sunday in September: Muzio Frediani,
Olindo Cinelli, Virgilio Danesi, Lorenzo Vigano’,

the Tuscan League to participate in the procession on
Columbus Day, October 12th, to celebrate the most
grand and courageous navigator in the world. The Tuscan League,
not wanting to be second to anybody when in [issues] concerning the
high elevation of the Italian name, followed the proposal
of Modesto Zini, seconded by Carlo Marconi, and accepted [the invitation].
So after a lively discussion it was approved
to attend the parade in person, and further to make
a parade float, for which the following committee
was chosen: Muzio Frediani, Stefano Maffei,
E. De Santi, Ugo Pistelli, Modesto Zini,
Fioravante Zini, Batista Zini, and Candito Pacini,
who have full discretion to spend as is needed,
and [should] also to do a good job bring themselves honor.

the 4th of December at the Moose Temple and that it would be
open to the public, for which the following committee

our usual general meeting is brought to order,
presided over by our president Casimiro Pellegrini.
The roll call returned the absences of the
following officers: Vice President Jacopo Sodini,
First Curator Carlo Marconi, Third Curator
Americo Lucchesi, and Health Officer Giuseppe
Fredianelli. We opened the discussion regarding the
parade float, for which the president presented to the
assembly a bill he had received, and was held
responsible for, with regards to the accident the
parade float incurred the day of the parade,
Columbus Day October 12th, where it collided
with another car on the way to the parade, resulting
in some damages. Following a lively discussion,
the president assumed the responsibility of settling
the matter. Since the Ball Committee neglected
to fulfill its duties, the society is liable to lose
the $25.00 already paid for renting the Moose
Temple on December 2nd. (U.S.). From the report
given by the Health Officers, the members
Benedetto Pardini and Pietro Lunardini
were still sick. The following bills were approved and paid:
$3.25 to Sam Marsili for a lock for the chest
of flags, $16.00 to Giuseppe Gianni as a medical
subsidy, $22.00 to Vittorio Andreini as a medical subsidy,
$11.00 to Aladino Piaggesi as a medical subsidy,
and $1.00 to Giuseppe Gianni for security envelopes
and stamps. Total: $78.25

The previous meeting’s minutes were approved as read. The assembly having
inquired if anybody had been found responsible by the president,
with regards to the damage caused by the parade float
on the day of October 12th, 1924, Columbus Day,
Brother Michele Simonetti rose and said that
the president had come to find him,
and that since he was [to be] the new president, [the president] had
yielded to him in dealing with the damaged party. The new
president Michele Simonetti and the entire assembly [agreed] that
he was charged with this task, that perhaps he would try
to not hold the League responsible for any cost of repair.
The price for renting the room for the 3 months of
January, February, and March was approved and paid for: $11.25

Candito Pacini. There were 14 voters, and after
reading off the names the following three were
elected for the year of 1925. Olinto Cinelli and Adelmo
Dati with 11 votes each, and Lorenzo Lunardini
with 9 votes. Since Olinto Cinelli and Adelmo
Dati had the same number of votes, the president decided
in favor of Olinto Cinelli as First Curator.
